John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon - January 31, 2010  E-mail
Eco Rotary volunteers at the Beargrease starting line
Duluth Superior Eco Rotary club volunteered their time helping with the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon 2010.  Amy Haney and Tad Johnson set up the silent auction items for the Gala Dinner at the Inn on Lake Superior Friday, January 29.  On January 31, Amy Haney, Jim Suttie, Brenda Denton and Wendy Sjoblom braved the cold conditions and helped set up all the sponsorship banners at the starting line. Wendy and Amy then stayed and helped the mushers get their sleds ready seconds before their start by standing on the brake of their sled while they checked out their dog team.  It was a very fun and exciting time! Congratulations Nathan!!
